Seek After Jesus with Your Whole Heart

Tuesday Night Bible Study 6/18/2024

Seek God!

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. - Matthew 7:7-8

Seek The Life of Jesus with a Humble Spirit!

Start your day off talking to the lord. Ask! Seek! Knock!

Acknowledge Him!  Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God…He will exalt you in due time. The Humble approach applies to the church as well as, to all those seeking salvation, those seeking His kingdom.   RESPECT the will of GOD! The church should set the tone for the world;  Seek God in such a way that we are teaching others how to reverence our God.   Seeking His presence and His will! Learn how to submit to God and each other.

I Peter 5:5-11

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Seek The Will Of Jesus For Our Lives!

Paul is instructing the Church to look at Jesus, how Jesus became a servant.  Let this mind be in you,

which was in Jesus.  Get the mind of Jesus, talk about Jesus.   Promote Jesus.  Again, Humbly seek Him. Do the will Of God Today!

  1.  Seek Him everyday

  2.  For the rest of my life

 Phillipians 2:5-16

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Seek Jesus With All We Have!

Seek Him even when we are going through suffering. Seek the Lord with all of your heart.   With all of your strength.  Pray diligently, get away from distractions.  Don’t let nothing break your praise!   Our time with Him in His Presence!   Keep knocking!

Jeremiah 29:10-14

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

And without controversy…great is the MYSTERY

1 Timothy 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Let us continue with this mindset...

“If we seek God, what will He open up?  if we really put our mind to seeking God, what will He do?

Let’s keep banging, praying, knocking, seeking…
